Brief: Turn lightning in a bottle into the biggest storm TV has ever seen. 80s nostalgia was at an all-time high, and Stranger Things was one of the buzziest shows around after Season 1. We joined in the lead-up to Season 2 to try and embrace the popularity and create a beast on social and all media.
Research told us that fans were interested in the making of the series, and so we went straight to the source. We created a series of poster designs that placed Stranger Things characters into the 80s movie posters in which the show was inspired by. We designed, wrote new copy, and even re-photographed some of the elements in-house to create the posters. The posters, as well as other tactics like introducing #StrangerThursdays, helped prime the series to truly breakout that year. The rest was history.
